What you will do

• Develop, optimize, and scale up chemical processes from laboratory to full-scale commercial production.
• Identify opportunities to improve yields, reduce costs, and enhance the robustness and safety of chemical processes.
• Conduct laboratory synthesis, process development, and troubleshooting using advanced instrumentation.
• Prepare technical documentation, including process descriptions, batch records, risk assessments, and SOPs.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to ensure seamless process transfer.
• Provide technical support during commissioning, validation, and routine manufacturing activities.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Shanghai/Jinshan, China.
• Master's degree in Chemistry (PhD in organic, mechanistic, or process chemistry preferred).
• Over 6 years of experience in process chemistry and scale-up of organic intermediates or products.
• Proficiency with analytical equipment such as HPLC, GC, NMR, and IR.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Ability to travel domestically (up to 30%) and internationally (up to 10%).
