Applications Engineer (Mining)

What you will do

• Provide technical support for mining customers and regional Sales teams.
• Conduct product performance reviews, field evaluations, and warranty technical analysis.
• Assist with product design, customization, reverse engineering, and improvement work.
• Develop solid CAD models, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align design, manufacturing, and delivery with customer needs.
• Support product trials, testing, and validation based on customer feedback.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in design, reliability, application engineering, or a similar technical role.
• Background in mining, construction equipment, heavy manufacturing, or industrial environments.
• Working knowledge of 3D CAD and FEA software.
• Must be based in Zambia and possess a current driver’s licence.
• Must be a Zambian citizen or holder of a valid Zambian Permanent Residence permit.

Nice to have

• Experience with Siemens NX, ANSYS, Siemens Teamcenter PLM, or 3D scanning.
• Knowledge of surface mining equipment and MSHA or regional mine hazard training.
