What you will do

• Design and scale REST APIs and large-scale data processing pipelines for high-volume datasets.
• Architect backend services optimized for high throughput and low-latency performance.
• Develop data-intensive and event-driven applications using Python, TypeScript, C#, and AWS services.
• Improve system reliability and scalability across microservices and cloud infrastructure.
• Mentor developers, lead code reviews, and drive overall engineering quality standards.
• Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and QA throughout the full development lifecycle.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in backend or full-stack engineering with a strong backend focus.
• 3+ years of professional experience with TypeScript, Node.js, or C#.
• Advanced expertise with AWS (EC2, EKS, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, Step Functions).
• Proven experience with distributed computing and batch/stream processing (Spark, Dask, EMR, Glue, Kafka).
• Strong system design skills and understanding of cloud architecture and scalability patterns.
• Must be based in or eligible to work in Mexico.

Nice to have

• Experience building ML-enabled or data-driven systems.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and streaming systems.
• Exposure to modern AI tools or integrations.
• Contributions to open source, technical blogs, or speaking at conferences.
