What you will do

• Own and scale end-to-end data infrastructure for medical policy aggregation.
• Build and maintain web scraper infrastructure to ingest unstructured payer data.
• Implement LLM-based systems to structure and normalize medical policy text.
• Set architectural direction and perform code reviews for a small engineering team.
• Establish CI/CD pipelines and improve overall system reliability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience, with 3+ years in backend-focused roles.
• 3+ years of professional Python experience as a primary language.
• Strong SQL proficiency with relational databases and complex schema design.
• Hands-on AWS experience with production service deployment and CI/CD ownership.
• Experience building production ETL systems for unstructured external data sources.
• English at C1+ level for technical communication on video calls.
• Must be available for full overlap with US Eastern business hours (Monday–Friday).

Nice to have

• Experience with web scraping frameworks like Scrapy or Playwright.
• Production experience with LLMs, AI evaluation, or RAG pipelines.
• Knowledge of healthcare payer data, medical coding (CPT, ICD-10), or prior authorization workflows.
• Familiarity with Terraform, FastAPI, or Snowflake.
