What you will do

• Own the “how” of SFCC delivery: SFRA architecture, cartridge structure, controllers, ISML templates, pipelines, and Business Manager configuration from design through deployment and into production support.
• Design and document storefront technical architecture, including cartridge layering, custom site preferences, data extensions, and integration surface decisions.
• Enforce production-grade standards: accessibility, performance, SEO hygiene, mobile-first rendering, and thorough unit and integration testing.
• Define and protect API/data contracts between SFCC and third-party services (payments, search/merchandising, inventory, BNPL, CMS, reviews), ensuring backward compatibility and clear documentation.
• Manage delivery risks proactively by surfacing dependencies, scope creep, and technical debt early and proposing solutions.
• Translate SFCC platform constraints into plain language for non-technical PMs and stakeholders while keeping engineering, PM, and design aligned.

Requirements

• Proven hands-on Salesforce Commerce Cloud experience delivering complex projects and supporting them in production.
• Deep SFCC platform expertise: SFRA (cartridge layering, controllers, ISML templates, models, client-side scripts), Business Manager (catalog/product management, promotions, site preferences, data extensions, custom objects), and SFCC scripting (dw.system, dw.catalog, dw.order, dw.web, service framework).
• Strong understanding of storefront pipelines and quota-aware design (CPU time, script file size, API call quotas).
• Experience with deployment and ALM (version management, cartridge upload pipelines, sandbox/staging/production promotion strategies).
• Fluency with SFCC integration surface: SFCC Service Framework and OCAPI (Shop API and Data API).
• Location & time zone: preferred candidate should be based in Latin America, preferably working hours aligned to PT or ET; candidates in Santiago, Chile can work from the Santiago office as remote/hybrid, while candidates outside Santiago, Chile will be fully remote.

Nice to have

• Salesforce B2C Commerce Developer certification (or B2C Architect track).
• Experience with headless/SCAPI or PWA Kit implementations.
• Exposure to adjacent Salesforce clouds (Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud).
• Node.js / React experience.
• CI/CD pipeline experience (e.g., Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines).
