What you will do

• Design and scale REST APIs and large-scale data processing pipelines for high-volume datasets.
• Architect backend services for high throughput and low-latency performance.
• Develop event-driven applications utilizing Typescript, Node.js, C#, Python, and AWS-native services.
• Enhance system reliability and scalability across microservices and cloud infrastructure.
• Mentor developers and lead code reviews to drive overall engineering quality.
• Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and QA throughout the full software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• 6+ years of backend or full-stack engineering experience with a strong backend focus.
• 3+ years of professional experience with Typescript, Node.js, or C#.
• Advanced expertise with AWS services including EC2, EKS, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, and RDS.
• Proven experience with distributed computing and batch/stream processing (Spark, Dask, EMR, Glue, or Kafka).
• Deep understanding of system design, scalability patterns, and cloud architecture.
• Must be based in or have the legal right to work in Canada.
