TL;DR

Business Development Representative (AI): Generating qualified pipeline into strategic accounts for a high-growth Voice AI platform with an accent on technical outbound and personalized outreach. Focus on engaging CTOs and VPs of Engineering, articulating API performance, and building the outbound playbook from the ground up.

Location: Must be based in San Francisco, full-time in the office

Salary: $100,000–$140,000 OTE

What you will do

  • Own outbound pipeline generation for a defined set of strategic accounts.
  • Execute personalized multi-channel outreach via email, phone, social, and video based on deep research.
  • Engage technical decision-makers (CTOs, VPs of Engineering) and communicate the competitive advantages of AssemblyAI's API and performance.
  • Qualify opportunities and manage high-context handoffs to Account Executives.
  • Represent the company at industry events and within the developer and voice AI communities.
  • Develop and test the outbound playbook, messaging, and targeting sequences.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in BDR/SDR roles with a proven track record of generating qualified pipeline from cold outreach.
  • Ability to speak credibly about technical concepts such as APIs, model accuracy, and latency tradeoffs.
  • Fluency with CRM and prospecting tools including Salesforce, Apollo, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Must be based in San Francisco and work full-time in the office.

Nice to have

  • Experience selling AI/ML, infrastructure, or developer tools to technical buyers.
