What you will do

• Provide legal advice and support to product teams, management, and the Legal, Risk, and Compliance Department.
• Negotiate major customer partnerships and manage the commercial drafting of sales agreements.
• Coordinate with local counsel across jurisdictions (US, UK, EU, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong) to devise optimal paths to market.
• Liaise with global senior stakeholders and manage external regulatory consultants.
• Support negotiations on complex and novel agreements with strategic partners.
• Assist with government relations outreach to legislators and regulatory agencies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a lawyer at a top firm or in-house.
• Must be based in San Francisco or New York City.
• Proven ability to manage a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Versatility in both advisory product support and commercial document drafting.
• Strong drafting skills and the ability to master new areas of law quickly.
• High levels of professionalism, integrity, and a strong work ethic.

• In-house legal experience within the fintech industry or financial institutions.
• Subject-matter expertise in payments, card networks, or fintech.
