Senior Cybersecurity Engineer (IAM)

TL;DR

Senior Cybersecurity Engineer (IAM): Leading security enablement and automation for enterprise application onboarding with an accent on identity and access management (IAM) ecosystem integration. Focus on designing scalable authentication patterns, building automation tools to reduce manual effort, and establishing enterprise security guardrails.

Location: Hybrid: Must be based in or be able to relocate to Austin, Texas or Warren, Michigan (office attendance at least 3 times a week)

What you will do

• Lead secure application onboarding design and implementation across the enterprise.
• Define and support authentication and authorization patterns including SAML, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect.
• Design and build automation tools, scripts, and APIs to streamline onboarding and configuration processes.
• Partner with application owners and architects to guide secure integration patterns and control requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure onboarded applications meet internal security standards and compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the team's technical direction and roadmap priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or Identity and Access Management (IAM).
• Hands-on experience with SAML, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming with Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, or Java.
• Experience with cloud identity platforms such as Microsoft Entra ID, AWS, or GCP.
• Must not require immigration sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCSP.
• Experience building automation using APIs, workflow platforms, IaC, or CI/CD tooling.
