Senior Product Manager, Sightline (Genomics)

Location: San Bruno, California, United States

Base salary: $140,500–$210,500 per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Drive product strategy and translate pharmaceutical, biosecurity, and public health workflows into product requirements and user stories.
• Scale digital PCR, amplicon sequencing, and metagenomic sequencing workflows with engineering and computational biology teams.
• Run Scrum ceremonies and manage JIRA and Confluence roadmaps from design through production deployment.
• Coordinate data integration frameworks and centralized data marketplace integrations.
• Manage technical sample transfer protocols, intellectual property, and data licensing with clinical, legal, and academic stakeholders.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Technical Project Manager, or Technical Product Manager in life sciences, biotech, or high-tech.
• Degree or equivalent professional experience in computational biology, bioinformatics, genomics, or a related quantitative life sciences discipline.
• Background in infectious disease, including epidemiology, molecular diagnostics, public health surveillance, or virology.
• Deep familiarity with JIRA, data engine deployment cycles, and cross-functional delivery management.
• Ability to translate complex scientific parameters into structured technical requirements for platform engineers.

Nice to have

• Active Agile certification such as CSM, CSPO, PMP-ACP, or SAFe.
• Experience with high-throughput laboratory data architectures, including ddPCR, amplicon sequencing, or genomic sequence datasets.
• Familiarity with the biopharma value chain, vaccine strain selection, and clinical trial recruitment.
