What you will do
- Research and resolve complex collection issues and insurance reimbursement discrepancies.
- Audit billing information accuracy and monitor the operation of billing systems.
- Perform regular transactional reviews and reconciliations of outstanding items.
- Develop and implement internal policies and processes for the reimbursement program.
- Assist in training team members on reconciliation processes.
- Ensure full compliance with Privacy/HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley, and other legal requirements.
Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
- 5+ years of experience in a medical collections environment.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong understanding of medical billing, insurance claim processing, and appeals.
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM systems, and accounting software (GP).
- Ability to work Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM PST.
Nice to have
- Experience billing durable medical equipment.
- Knowledge of GAAP.
- Experience in diabetes or other disease management device/diagnostics.
