Product Engineer (Furniture)

What you will do

• Support new product launches by coordinating prototypes with internal and external partners.
• Develop and manage product designs from concept through mass production.
• Create engineering specifications, drawings, bills of materials, and manufacturing documentation.
• Manage CAD activities across projects, including modifications to existing drawings for manufacturing and purchasing.
• Support production, quality coordination, process capability, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Coordinate technical specifications and product requirements with suppliers, customers, and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial, mechanical, mechatronics, or related engineering; applied arts education is also preferred.
• 5+ years of professional product development experience and 5 years of CAD experience leading large CAD projects.
• Advanced English communication skills, written and verbal.
• Experience with upholstered furniture, plywood and solid wood chair frames, foam, frame construction, and upholstery.
• Proven CNC wood programming experience and experience with textile CNC cutters.
• Knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP, GD&T, lean manufacturing, root cause analysis, ECN, and temporary deviations.

Nice to have

• Experience with Creo and Gerber.
• Lean manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of BIFMA standards.
