What you will do

• Own and evolve SLI/SLO and error-budget frameworks to influence prioritization and product decisions.
• Lead incident response and drive postmortems, converting findings into systemic architectural fixes.
• Design and operate resilient, scalable infrastructure using Terraform and manage production Kubernetes workloads.
• Build and maintain comprehensive observability across metrics, logs, and traces using Datadog.
• Own CI/CD pipelines and security controls, integrating SAST, DAST, and SCA scanning in GitHub Actions.
• Implement and maintain policy-as-code (Kyverno, OPA/Rego) to block unsafe infrastructure changes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in site reliability, platform, or infrastructure engineering with senior-level ownership.
• Strong programming skills in Go, Python, or TypeScript for building custom automation tools.
• Deep hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Proven track record of leading incident response and building SLO-driven reliability practices.
• Practical experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines and understanding cloud security fundamentals.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Exposure to regulated or compliance-driven environments (SOC 2, PCI DSS, HIPAA).
• Experience with Chaos engineering or game-day exercises.
• Experience supporting high-traffic B2C mobile backend environments.
