What you will do

• Design and maintain observability tooling using AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana for real-time system health monitoring.
• Implement DORA metrics and performance dashboards to establish and track system reliability baselines.
• Manage Tier 2/3 production support, ensuring strict adherence to SLAs and 99.9% uptime commitments.
• Develop and maintain BCDR plans, including recovery architecture, cross-region replication, and failover drills.
• Configure centralized incident management and alerting systems across the engineering organization.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive improvements in DevOps processes and practices across the program.

Requirements

• Must meet federal suitability requirements and pass a background investigation.
• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, and Git/GitLab in production environments.
• Proven experience in SRE, production operations, or incident response for high-availability cloud-native services.
• Strong knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (AWS ECS/EKS/Fargate).
• Experience designing CI/CD pipelines with integrated quality and security gates.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in federal environments (FedRAMP, FISMA, ATO).
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification.
• Experience with Datadog or ELK stack.
• Background supporting SAFe or scaled Agile delivery teams.
