Compensation: $160K – $185K

What you will do

• Define and roll out SRE practices including SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets for a six-team organization.
• Build and improve observability (metrics, logging, distributed tracing) to detect incidents before stakeholders report them.
• Reduce production outage frequency by identifying and remediating systemic reliability risks at the root.
• Eliminate toil through automation, infrastructure-as-code, and the creation of self-service tooling.
• Run production readiness reviews for new services and partner with leadership on capacity planning.
• Collaborate with product and platform teams to make reliability a shared responsibility.

Requirements

• 7+ years in software or infrastructure engineering with substantial hands-on SRE experience.
• Proven track record of reducing incidents and improving detection metrics.
• Experience defining SLOs/SLIs and using error budgets to guide engineering decisions.
• Deep expertise in observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Strong experience operating production systems on AWS.
• Proficiency with Terraform and automation languages like Python or TypeScript.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States (E-Verify).

Nice to have

• Experience establishing an SRE function for the first time at a startup or scale-up.
• Familiarity with TypeScript, Node.js, React, AWS EKS, and RDS.
• Background in healthcare, telehealth, or HIPAA-compliant environments.
• Experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration.
