What you will do

• Manage, monitor, and support SQL Server databases across diverse customer environments.
• Implement and configure high-availability solutions including AlwaysOn, clustering, and replication.
• Troubleshoot database performance issues, bottlenecks, and query responsiveness.
• Design and execute database backups, restores, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Collaborate with IT teams and developers to ensure seamless database integration and security compliance.
• Document configurations and provide technical mentoring to team members.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada
• Minimum 7 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA.
• Advanced expertise in Microsoft SQL Server 2019 and newer.
• Required: Experience with Ansible automation.
• Strong proficiency in T-SQL scripting and performance tuning.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with PostgreSQL.
• Experience with cloud-based database services like Azure SQL or AWS RDS.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified DBA.
