What you will do

• Design and evolve the data warehouse and lakehouse architecture, including schemas and modeling patterns.
• Lead dimensional modeling and semantic layer design across key business domains.
• Define standards for data structure, naming, and governance within the Medallion Architecture.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate domain requirements into robust, reusable data models.
• Drive decisions on storage design, partitioning, and compute optimization for performance and cost.
• Contribute to data governance frameworks including lineage, cataloging, and access control.

Requirements

• 7+ years of data engineering experience with deep expertise in data modeling and warehouse design.
• Strong proficiency in dimensional modeling, Medallion/Lakehouse architecture, and semantic layers.
• Advanced SQL skills including complex joins, window functions, and query optimization.
• Experience scaling data warehouses in cloud environments like Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery.
• Python proficiency for data transformation and pipeline development.
• Must be authorized to work in the US; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with dbt or similar transformation frameworks.
• Exposure to agentic or AI-assisted data infrastructure.
• Experience in a fast-moving startup or aerospace/manufacturing environment.
