What you will do

• Own scalable DBT models and datasets that serve as the source of truth for key business metrics.
• Design data models (grains, dimensions, facts, timeseries, marts) so analysts and downstream tools can use them with confidence.
• Contribute to semantic layer and metric governance to keep definitions consistent, documented, and reliable.
• Implement data quality and observability strategies to proactively surface issues and build stakeholder trust.
• Collaborate with Data Infrastructure, Engineering, and Analytics to improve model performance, runtime, and warehouse efficiency.
• Drive standards for modeling patterns, testing frameworks, naming conventions, and CI/CD deployment practices; mentor analytics engineers.

Requirements

• Location: Remote within the US or Canada
• 5+ years in analytics or data engineering, including 3+ years in analytics engineering and production DBT development.
• Expert-level SQL and DBT skills (advanced modeling patterns, incremental processing, multi-environment deployment).
• Deep experience with modern cloud data warehouses (Athena, Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, or Redshift), including performance tuning and incremental strategies.
• Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, metric design, and documenting grains and business logic.
• Experience with CI/CD for data pipelines and orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Dagster, Prefect) and clear communication to technical and non-technical audiences.
