What you will do
- Design and maintain the semantic layer, metrics, and data models as the single source of truth.
- Architect the Databricks and GCP-based platform to support AI-driven analytics agents.
- Build observability, testing, and alerting into data pipelines to ensure end-to-end quality.
- Partner with product, clinical, and business teams to deliver self-serve analytics tooling.
- Establish and enforce data modeling conventions, documentation, and code review standards.
- Translate ambiguous business requirements into scalable, reliable data solutions.
Requirements
- 8+ years of analytics or data engineering experience with progression to staff-level scope.
- Deep expertise in SQL and strong proficiency in Python.
- Strong data modeling fundamentals with the ability to enforce high standards.
- Experience with modern data stack tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Airflow.
- Proven track record of building resilient, monitored, production-grade data systems.
- Must be authorized to work in the US or Canada.
Nice to have
- Experience with health tech or regulated data environments (HIPAA, PHI/PII).
- Familiarity with Databricks Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, or Spark.
- Experience building or integrating AI/LLM-powered analytics tools.
- Experience with GCP.
- Experience with dbt.
