BI Developer, Clinical Data - Business Optimization Strategist (Power BI)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, semantic models, and reusable analytics solutions.
• Write and optimize complex DAX, SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and views for accurate and efficient reporting.
• Gather business and data requirements and translate them into actionable dashboards, queries, programs, and automation.
• Apply data governance, row-level security, data classification, and access controls to protect confidential information.
• Provide analytical insights, validate reported data, and support strategic business decisions and process improvement.
• Coordinate cross-functional projects, manage risks and scope changes, and communicate implementation status to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, business, accounting, or hospital administration, or the required equivalent data analytics experience; a bachelor’s degree may qualify under the alternate pathway.
• At least 1–2 years of experience with relational database structures, data analysis or healthcare planning, and reporting tools such as Crystal Reports, depending on the qualification pathway.
• Experience with SQL/Oracle and/or Business Objects, plus practical experience with business intelligence tools.
• Ability to work with Power BI, DAX, Microsoft Fabric, Tableau, SAP products, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must achieve an EPIC official designation of “Proficient” within the new-hire probationary period.
• Strong written and oral English communication, analytical thinking, prioritization, independent decision-making, and collaboration skills.
