Principal Business Intelligence Architect (Healthcare)

Location: On-site at the San Diego Headquarters or another company location; remote work may be permitted with management approval based on business requirements.

Salary: $114,622–$160,472–$206,321 per year.

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, testing, implementation, and support of business intelligence solutions, including reports, dashboards, data models, and reporting deliverables.
• Translate complex business requirements from executives, customers, analysts, engineers, and project teams into scalable data and reporting solutions.
• Design data pipelines and reporting frameworks using data architecture, ETL, orchestration, and data warehousing best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex data, reporting, and performance issues while establishing data quality controls, monitoring, and governance practices.
• Ensure solutions meet internal security policies, data governance standards, and HIPAA requirements.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, stakeholder communication, and supervision for assigned staff and cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree and 8+ years of related experience and subject-matter expertise, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 4 years of experience leading individual contributors and leaders of leaders.
• Strong knowledge of business intelligence, reporting, data management, SQL, query tools, relational databases, scripting, and software methodologies.
• Experience with data architecture, ETL tools, orchestration frameworks, structured and unstructured data, SQL databases, and NoSQL databases.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, scripting tools, or other common programming languages, with experience in UNIX and/or Windows environments.
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Availability for regular collaboration with internal clients, colleagues, clients, and vendors is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with streaming data architectures and event-driven systems.
• Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
