Senior Mechanical/Process Piping Designer (Revit/AutoCAD)

Location: Hillsboro, Oregon 97124, United States; regular fieldwork on active construction sites is required.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain 2D and 3D drawing packages for mechanical and process piping systems using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Create piping layouts, equipment arrangements, schedules, P&IDs, flow diagrams, isometric views, and installation details.
• Use Navisworks for model reviews, spatial coordination, and conflict resolution across mechanical, piping, and existing field conditions.
• Conduct site walks, verify measurements and existing conditions, and support alignment between design intent and field installation.
• Coordinate with engineering leads, construction trades, and equipment manufacturers on utility requirement packages, RFIs, and submittals.
• Mentor junior designers, estimate design work, and participate in code reviews and multidisciplinary design meetings.

Requirements

• 5–15 years of progressive CAD drafting and mechanical design experience in a high-tech or process-oriented industrial environment.
• Expert proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, with extensive Navisworks model review experience.
• Thorough knowledge of process piping, including pipe routing, valves, instrumentation, and mechanical utility systems.
• Ability to navigate active construction sites, climb ladders, work on catwalks, and perform detailed site walks.
• Strong attention to detail and clear communication with engineering teams and external contractors.

Nice to have

• Experience serving as a lead designer for large-scale utility systems.
