What you will do

• Design and build the PEO Benefits experience, including benefits shopping and plan-recommendation flows.
• Develop carrier integrations, MCP tools, and AI agents to automate operational and customer support processes.
• Mentor other engineers to solve complex technical problems within highly complex domains at scale.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Data, Design, and Platform teams to prototype and launch features daily.
• Scale one of the world's largest Ruby on Rails and React applications.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Experience driving large, cross-functional projects from scoping and sequencing through to launch.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and make foundational architectural decisions.
• Experience leveraging AI tools or systems to accelerate development, improve testing, and deliver product capabilities.
• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails and Javascript/React.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of direct experience building PEO flows in a high-growth environment.
