Salary: $168,000 - $240,000

What you will do

• Design and deliver large, cross-cutting solutions across backend services, web, and mobile surfaces.
• Architect onboarding, compliance (KYC/identity), and customer support workflows for millions of users.
• Set technical direction across the product unit, providing guidance to avoid design pitfalls across teams.
• Advance AI coding tools and agentic development pipelines to optimize the software development lifecycle.
• Own the full DevOps lifecycle including building, monitoring, and maintaining systems with a focus on security and disaster recovery.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to the team's technical direction and engineering culture.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience building and operating complex production systems at scale.
• Track record of independently delivering large, multi-system projects from architecture through operation.
• Proficiency in a typed language (TypeScript, Scala, Java, or Go) and JS/TS for web and mobile.
• Experience building consumer-facing applications with a strong understanding of UX/UI concepts.
• Fluency in using AI coding tools and automation in daily workflows.
• Ability to work in person twice a week at the New York City office.

Nice to have

• Experience in the crypto or fintech industry.
• Expertise in onboarding, identity/KYC, or compliance tooling.
• Experience building and operating AI agents or agentic workflows in production.
• Familiarity with React, React Native, and cloud/microservices architecture.
