What you will do

• Contribute to the design, development, and testing of new enhancements and advanced features for the hirify.global SQL Engine.
• Research and establish technical direction for complex feature development and perform functional and performance problem analysis.
• Design and implement novel query optimization features using Agile methodologies.
• Lead and provide technical guidance to a group of software engineers during feature development.
• Manage technical aspects of large projects, including planning and tracking status.
• Maintain and optimize core database kernel areas.

Requirements

• Bachelor's (10+ years exp), Master's (8+ years exp), or PhD (5+ years exp) in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Technical leadership experience in cloud-based data management, specifically in query processing and optimization.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Java, Python, R, and SQL.
• Strong fundamentals in object-oriented design, design patterns, and test-driven development.
• Experience with system development and debugging complex software in parallel processing environments.
• Deep understanding of AWS and public cloud technologies.

Nice to have

• Prior experience contributing to open-source projects.
• Expertise in programming and debugging at the Assembly level.
• Familiarity with a wide variety of database technologies.
