Senior Cost Accountant - Inventory/Supply Chain Finance

Location: Must be based in Guadalajara, Mexico. Hybrid working environment with some in-office and/or in-person expectations. Flexible hours are required to coordinate with a US West Coast team.

What you will do

• Manage and report on inventory assets and liabilities, including overhead, excess and obsolete inventory reserves, scrap, rework, teardown, and related costs.
• Serve as the Oracle ERP subject matter expert for inventory organizations, transactions, and financial processes.
• Execute and oversee quarter-end cut-off procedures, monthly and quarterly close, forecasting, and P&L and Balance Sheet schedules.
• Lead internal SOX and external audit inquiries for Supply Chain Finance and Cost Accounting, including requests, schedules, and documentation.
• Partner with Procurement, Inventory Management, Supply Planning, suppliers, and service providers on reporting, reconciliations, data validation, and optimization projects.
• Provide process governance and reinforce accounting policies, financial controls, and operational adherence.

Requirements

• 12+ years of relevant experience in cost accounting, finance, and business analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• High proficiency in financial modeling with Excel.
• Excellent problem-solving, written and verbal communication, and presentation skills.
• Excellent English communication skills are required for collaboration with international teams.
• Knowledge of international accounting standards, including US GAAP and IFRS, and experience in a global technology or hardware manufacturing environment.

• Experience with Oracle ERP, Hyperion, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
• Experience in a global technology firm involved in hardware manufacturing or a related industry.
