What you will do

• Lead Body Shop production activities to meet daily operating targets in safety, quality, throughput, and cost.
• Supervise and develop salaried and hourly teams, reinforcing accountability and teamwork.
• Manage daily floor routines, including level 4/5 reviews and execution of countermeasures to close performance gaps.
• Coordinate with maintenance, quality, engineering, and material teams to resolve production issues quickly.
• Ensure adherence to standardized work, layered audits, and safety observation tours.
• Analyze operating data and prioritize top losses to drive continuous improvement actions.

Requirements

• Experience in automotive manufacturing operations, preferably in Body Shop or Body-in-White production.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a manufacturing environment with responsibility for team performance.
• Strong knowledge of safety, quality, standardized work, and continuous improvement principles.
• Proficiency in root cause analysis, containment, and implementation of corrective actions.
• Ability to work onsite full-time, support off-shift/overtime requirements, and legally operate a motor vehicle.
• Must have legal authorization to work in Mexico; no immigration sponsorship provided.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Systems Engineering.
• Prior leadership experience specifically in Body Shop production operations.
• Knowledge of weld, adhesive, or dimensional manufacturing processes.
• Experience with GMS/BIQ systems and Workday people-leader processes.
