Salary: $147,760.00 - $221,640.00

What you will do

• Lead controls and software development for EH brake and brake mechatronics systems across multiple machine applications.
• Define and own brake control system architecture, interfaces, and core functions to enable reuse and scalability.
• Develop embedded control algorithms for service brake torque control, arbitration, diagnostics, and state estimation using Matlab, Simulink, and AUTOSAR.
• Collaborate with hardware, hydraulics, and software teams to align valve hardware, sensors, and ECMs.
• Ensure compliance with functional safety standards such as ISO 19014 and ISO 13849.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers on the braking team.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in embedded control systems for mobile equipment or automotive applications.
• Proficiency in Model-based development using Matlab, Simulink, and AUTOSAR toolsets.
• Experience with functional safety and braking system compliance standards (ISO 19014, ISO 13849, ISO 26262).
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Mossville, IL.

• Experience supporting autonomy, remote control, or advanced machine assist features.
• Experience with brake-by-wire or drive-by-wire systems.
• Knowledge of multi-channel brake systems and physical system modeling.
