Buyer (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Place and manage direct and indirect purchase orders using MRP systems to ensure quality, delivery, and price targets.
• Maintain the full PO lifecycle from requisition and expediting to the resolution of invoice discrepancies.
• Negotiate with vendors to achieve the best total cost, including lead-time, delivery, and service levels.
• Coordinate the execution of Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO).
• Manage supplier relationships and performance to meet company objectives.
• Process rejected materials and returns following MRB guidelines.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Penang, Malaysia
• Minimum 2 years of buying experience in semiconductor equipment manufacturing or a high-technology environment.
• Proficiency in SAP, specifically the MM/PM modules, and experience with MRP systems.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office, with advanced proficiency in Excel.
• BS degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain is preferred.
• Ability to travel to supplier sites locally and within Asia (up to 20%)
