Senior Procurement Specialist (Semiconductor)

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; willingness to travel to Seremban approximately 2–3 times per month is required.

What you will do

• Manage global non-product-related procurement categories, including IT, People & Professional Services, Utilities Management, and other business-related categories.
• Develop sourcing strategies, conduct market analysis, support pricing development, mitigate risks, and manage supplier selection.
• Build strategic supplier relationships and lead sourcing initiatives focused on cost savings, supplier consolidation, and procurement efficiency.
• Optimize supplier portfolios and identify synergies across global sites while reducing unnecessary supplier complexity.
• Review and negotiate contracts with strategic suppliers and collaborate with stakeholders on procurement solutions, channels, and processes.
• Support procurement transformation, system and process improvement, best-practice sharing, and team-member development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, or a related commercial discipline.
• At least 4 years of procurement or sourcing experience, preferably in the semiconductor, technology, manufacturing, or a similar industry.
• Experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, procurement activities, international supplier management, and collaboration with global stakeholders.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
• Excellent English communication skills for collaboration across cultures and organizational levels.
• Ability to work independently with a solution-oriented mindset while following established processes.
• Willingness to travel to Seremban approximately 2–3 times per month.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Mandarin.
• Experience with procurement systems, contract management, and cost optimization initiatives.
