Global Procurement Specialist (Semiconductors)

TL;DR

Global Procurement Specialist (Logistics & Supply Chain): Managing global non-product related procurement categories including IT and professional services with an accent on strategic sourcing and total cost of ownership (TCO). Focus on optimizing supplier portfolios, leading contract negotiations, and driving cost efficiency across global sites.

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Willingness to travel to Seremban approximately 2–3 times per month is required.

What you will do

• Manage procurement activities for global NPR categories, including supplier selection, sourcing strategies, and market analysis.
• Develop and maintain long-term relationships with strategic suppliers using the 4-Buy Principle (Right, Low, Little, On-Time).
• Lead sourcing initiatives to achieve cost savings, supplier consolidation, and improved efficiency.
• Optimize global supplier portfolios to reduce complexity and drive synergy across sites.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with strategic suppliers to ensure competitive terms and business value.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement solutions with business requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, or a related commercial discipline.
• Minimum 4+ years of procurement or sourcing experience, preferably in semiconductor, technology, or manufacturing industries.
• Proven expertise in strategic sourcing and supplier management.
• Excellent English communication skills for effective collaboration across cultures.
• Experience managing international suppliers and working with global stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel to Seremban 2–3 times per month.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Mandarin to support business communication and collaboration.
• Experience with procurement systems and cost optimization initiatives.
