Operational Risk Intern (Fintech)

Operational Risk Intern (Fintech): Supporting the identification, tracking, and improvement of operational risk processes with an accent on third-party risk, ICT controls, and fraud monitoring. Location: Hybrid (Amsterdam) - Must be based in the Netherlands (3 days in-office weekly after an initial 3-month full-office period).

What you will do

• Support Third-Party Risk processes, including vendor assessments and provider inventory updates
• Track ICT risks and controls, document findings, and follow up on action items
• Contribute to Product Approval Risk Reviews by gathering information and logging risks
• Monitor fraud trends, chargebacks, and process gaps to flag observations
• Maintain clean and structured documentation for all risk management activities

Requirements

• Fluent English
• Fundamental understanding of risks, controls, and their importance
• Comfort with basic tech concepts such as cloud services, databases, and outages
• Familiarity with or strong curiosity to learn DORA and GDPR regulations
• High attention to detail and a proactive, initiative-taking mindset
