What you will do

• Plan outages and produce switching programmes in liaison with System/Local Control.
• Execute HV/LV isolation, earthing, testing, and fault location, issuing Permits to Work (PTW) and SFTs.
• Lead safety culture by developing SHE plans, reviewing RAMS, and conducting site inspections.
• Manage small-scale projects, including client liaison, tender support, and financial tracking.
• Supervise Jointer and Fitter teams and provide technical engineering solutions to clients.
• Mentor trainee SAPs and oversee operational authorisations.

Requirements

• Must be authorised to conduct switching operations from 11kV to 33kV.
• Must hold a current DNO or equivalent Certificate of Authorisation.
• Technical knowledge of DNO switchgear and associated plant.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with leadership ability.
• Comprehensive knowledge of current regulations, standards, and codes of practice.
• Ability to travel within the region and be available for on-call/weekend rotations.
