What you will do
- Plan outages and produce switching programmes in liaison with System/Local Control.
- Execute HV/LV isolation, earthing, testing, and fault location, issuing Permits to Work (PTW) and SFTs.
- Lead safety culture by developing SHE plans, reviewing RAMS, and conducting site inspections.
- Manage small-scale projects, including client liaison, tender support, and financial tracking.
- Supervise Jointer and Fitter teams and provide technical engineering solutions to clients.
- Mentor trainee SAPs and oversee operational authorisations.
Requirements
- Must be authorised to conduct switching operations from 11kV to 33kV.
- Must hold a current DNO or equivalent Certificate of Authorisation.
- Technical knowledge of DNO switchgear and associated plant.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with leadership ability.
- Comprehensive knowledge of current regulations, standards, and codes of practice.
- Ability to travel within the region and be available for on-call/weekend rotations.
