What you will do
- Own the full sales cycle for the Japanese territory, from prospecting to closing and account expansion.
- Build and manage a robust pipeline through self-prospecting and collaboration with marketing and SDR teams.
- Conduct consultative sales meetings with enterprise buyers to demonstrate the value of voice AI technologies.
- Execute both direct sales motions and partner co-sell strategies with systems integrators and hyperscalers.
- Collaborate with field engineers to guide technical evaluations and ensure successful customer production deployments.
- Provide market insights and product feedback to the internal team to shape the local sales strategy.
Requirements
- 5+ years of quota-carrying experience as a full-cycle Account Executive.
- Native-level Japanese language proficiency and deep understanding of Japanese business culture.
- Proven track record of building pipeline from scratch and managing complex technical sales.
- Experience selling developer-focused products, APIs, or infrastructure platforms.
- Ability to hold technical conversations with engineers, architects, and decision-makers.
- Must be based in Japan and comfortable with in-person enterprise relationship management.
Nice to have
- Experience selling voice AI, speech, or ML-based infrastructure.
- Familiarity with modern sales methodologies like Challenger.
- Experience working in high-growth or early-stage startup environments.
- Background in co-selling through hyperscaler partners.
