What you will do

  • Own the full sales cycle for the Japanese territory, from prospecting to closing and account expansion.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline through self-prospecting and collaboration with marketing and SDR teams.
  • Conduct consultative sales meetings with enterprise buyers to demonstrate the value of voice AI technologies.
  • Execute both direct sales motions and partner co-sell strategies with systems integrators and hyperscalers.
  • Collaborate with field engineers to guide technical evaluations and ensure successful customer production deployments.
  • Provide market insights and product feedback to the internal team to shape the local sales strategy.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of quota-carrying experience as a full-cycle Account Executive.
  • Native-level Japanese language proficiency and deep understanding of Japanese business culture.
  • Proven track record of building pipeline from scratch and managing complex technical sales.
  • Experience selling developer-focused products, APIs, or infrastructure platforms.
  • Ability to hold technical conversations with engineers, architects, and decision-makers.
  • Must be based in Japan and comfortable with in-person enterprise relationship management.

Nice to have

  • Experience selling voice AI, speech, or ML-based infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with modern sales methodologies like Challenger.
  • Experience working in high-growth or early-stage startup environments.
  • Background in co-selling through hyperscaler partners.
