TL;DR

Senior Bid Manager: End-to-end leadership of high-value, complex bid opportunities from qualification through submission with an accent on bid governance, review strategy, and quality assurance. Focus on translating customer requirements into compliant, compelling, customer-focused proposals while mentoring bid teams and improving bid performance.

Location: Hybrid or Remote (UK), with UK travel as required

What you will do

  • Lead end-to-end management of strategically significant, high-value and complex bids, owning the bid management approach, governance model, review strategy, and submission plan.
  • Facilitate win theme development and ensure customer requirements are translated into compelling response strategies aligned to evaluation criteria and win plans.
  • Ensure compliance with customer procurement requirements and NEC governance processes, managing multi-stage review cycles including executive-level reviews.
  • Oversee bid quality assurance (compelling, compliant, concise, consistent) and maintain robust document, version, and change control throughout the bid lifecycle.
  • Provide leadership across multifunctional virtual bid teams across multiple business units and geographies, managing relationships with SMEs, Sales Leads, Bid Solution Owners, Commercial, Legal, Delivery, and Executive stakeholders.
  • Mentor and coach Bid Managers and Bid Writers, driving continuous improvement in bid capability, standards, and operating models.

Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK and ability to travel within the UK (documentary evidence required).
  • Significant experience managing complex public sector and regulated industry bids.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent opportunities and competing priorities.
  • Proven track record leading successful strategic, high-value opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of public procurement regulations and competitive tendering processes.
  • Advanced bid planning, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence senior executives and operational leaders.
