TL;DR

Environmental Manager (ESG): Leading global carbon accounting, environmental reporting, and climate strategy with an accent on GHG inventory management and CSRD/ESRS compliance. Focus on developing science-based emissions reduction targets, executing decarbonization roadmaps, and ensuring audit-ready climate disclosures.

Location: Must be based in the Netherlands, Spain, or elsewhere in Europe. Work arrangement is remote with occasional office visits.

What you will do

  • Prepare global Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG inventories in compliance with CSRD/ESRS and GHG Protocol.
  • Own the GHG reporting process, including data platform administration and audit readiness.
  • Develop science-based emissions reduction targets and support validation through SBTi.
  • Lead the execution of decarbonization roadmaps in partnership with regional teams.
  • Deliver climate-related disclosures, including annual reports and CDP submissions.
  • Manage EU Taxonomy eligibility and alignment assessments.

Requirements

  • Professional English proficiency (written and verbal) required.
  • Valid working visa for EU/EEA required.
  • Several years of direct experience in climate accounting and analysis.
  • Knowledge of GHG Protocol, SBTi, and CSRD/ESRS standards.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental sciences, finance, or engineering.
  • Ability to engage with auditors and simplify complex sustainability topics.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience driving compliance with the EU Taxonomy Regulation.
