Director, GTM On-Demand Capacity Planning

Location: Houston, New York, San Francisco, or Seattle, United States

Base salary: $140,000–$250,000 USD per year, with potential bonus, equity, and/or commission eligibility.

What you will do

• Design and manage capacity allocation frameworks balancing volatile on-demand usage with long-term reserved customer commitments.
• Partner with Engineering and Supply Chain to forecast cluster availability and convert physical deployment schedules into sellable inventory.
• Build dynamic financial models tracking utilization across every megawatt and identify under-utilized compute pools.
• Partner with Deal Strategy to move specific available capacity and improve utilization and margins.
• Resolve allocation conflicts when customer demand exceeds physical supply using strategic value, margin, and data.
• Model hardware depreciation cycles to optimize pricing, capacity allocation, and GPU cluster ROI.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in capacity planning, supply chain finance, or cloud operations.
• Experience in a hyperscaler, heavy-infrastructure technology company, or logistics-intensive enterprise.
• Advanced data modeling skills and the ability to analyze large datasets covering power costs, hardware depreciation, and network utilization.
• Strong independent problem-solving skills in ambiguous yield management situations.
• Ability to challenge sales priorities when capacity is unavailable while maintaining collaborative relationships.
• Deep understanding of the AI compute market and the effect of utilization rates on valuation and cash flow.
