What you will do

• Own and execute the technical roadmap for US Health payment integrity, evolving product lines from anomaly detection to autonomous AI agents.
• Champion the design of data pipelines optimized for LLMs and deploy advanced agentic frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, and OpenAI Agent SDK.
• Establish rigorous evaluation frameworks (LLM-as-a-judge) to ensure decisions are unbiased, secure, and legally sound.
• Mentor and grow a team of senior and junior data scientists, fostering a culture of rapid prototyping and experimentation.
• Act as a technical bridge for C-suite stakeholders and healthcare payer executives, translating complex architectures into business value.
• Maintain a model-agnostic governance strategy to allow seamless integration of evolving AI capabilities.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• 7+ years of Data Science experience, with 5+ years leading teams of 7+ members.
• Deep expertise in Healthcare Insurance Payment Integrity, Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA).
• Proven hands-on experience scaling production-level LLMs, RAG systems, and autonomous agent workflows.
• Strong proficiency in OOP, ML fundamentals, and the full ML lifecycle (monitoring, versioning, deployment).
• Mastery of Databricks (Mosaic AI, Unity Catalog, Delta Lake) and MLflow for experiment tracking.

Nice to have

• Contributions to open-source agentic frameworks or the AI research community.
• Experience with healthcare compliance landscapes such as HIPAA and HITRUST within Azure/Databricks environments.
