Location: Must be based in the United States (U.S.). Remote work is available within the U.S., or from offices in Arlington, Chapel Hill, Chicago, Sacramento, or Austin.
Salary: $130,000 - $160,000 USD per year

What you will do
- Lead quantitative analyses for global health challenges using predictive analytics, geospatial analysis, and causal design.
- Implement ML and AI workflows using Python and R to analyze complex datasets, such as malaria early warning systems.
- Integrate survey, administrative, and satellite data to generate actionable insights for policymakers and funders.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of economists, data scientists, and sector specialists.
- Support business development by drafting technical approaches for donors like the Gates Foundation and World Bank.
- Mentor and supervise junior researchers and data scientists to foster technical excellence.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, Public Policy, Global Health, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in quantitative research within policy-relevant domains.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis; visa sponsorship is not available.
- Proficiency in Python and R, with working knowledge of Stata.
- Proven track record of designing data analytics tools, including forecasting, geospatial analyses, and LLM models.
- Experience in development/health economics and managing complex projects for government or nonprofit clients.
