AI Tutor (Sinhala)

Location: Remote (Global). Not hiring in Wyoming or Illinois (US). No visa sponsorship available.

Salary: $35 - $45 per hour for US-based candidates.

What you will do

• Provide labels, annotations, and recordings for multilingual audio projects using proprietary software.
• Ensure curated audio data meets professional standards for clarity, natural spoken output, and prosodic details.
• Collaborate with technical staff to improve AI handling of speech modulation, accent variation, and noise.
• Contribute to the improvement of annotation tools for more efficient audio workflows.

Requirements

• Native proficiency in Sinhala with exposure to diverse accents and dialects.
• English: B2 level minimum with clear, natural vocal delivery.
• High accuracy in transcribing audio across varying qualities and accents.
• Strong auditory perception to identify nuances in pronunciation and intonation.
• Must use a Chromebook, Mac (macOS 11.0+), or Windows 10+ computer.

Nice to have

• Background in linguistics, phonetics, phonology, or speech sciences.
• Experience with AI training data, voice models, or audio annotation workflows.
• Professional experience in voice acting, recording, or podcasting.
• Portfolio of voice samples and annotated transcripts.
