Field Marketing Manager, Public Sector (AI): Developing and executing the US Public Sector field marketing strategy to drive adoption of Claude among government audiences with an accent on event design, partner ecosystems, and sales alignment. Focus on building a 0-to-1 field motion, managing high-impact government events, and creating scalable operational playbooks.
Location: Must be based in or be able to relocate to San Francisco, CA or Washington, DC (Hybrid: at least 2 days a week in office)
Annual Salary: $320,000 - $400,000 USD

What you will do
- Develop and activate the end-to-end US Public Sector field marketing strategy, including planning, execution, and measurement.
- Design and run government-compliant event formats such as agency roundtables, mission-focused briefings, and tech demo days.
- Build co-marketing programs with the public sector channel ecosystem, including distributors, resellers, and systems integrators.
- Partner closely with Public Sector Sales and BDR teams on account targeting and pipeline conversion.
- Create operational playbooks, such as Demo Day activation and hackathon kits, to scale the field motion.
- Establish ROI reporting, baseline metrics, and dashboards for all public sector programs.
Requirements
- Direct Public Sector-segment experience building and running programs targeting government audiences.
- Proven track record of 0-to-1 building and scaling field or demand generation programs across multiple companies.
- Strong alignment with sales teams (AEs/BDRs) for pre-event outreach and post-event follow-up.
- Operational rigor in vendor management, registration workflows, and ROI tracking.
- Technical credibility to review technical event content and engage with founder/CTO audiences.
- Must be able to work from San Francisco or Washington, D.C. offices at least 2 days a week.
Nice to have
- 10+ years of experience in Field Marketing, Demand Gen, ABM, or Events at B2B tech companies.
- AI/ML field marketing experience.
- Existing relationships with public sector associations and research institutions.
- Visible thought leadership in the Public Sector or developer ecosystems.
