What you will do

• Develop and implement lean manufacturing best practices and industrial engineering processes to achieve department goals.
• Design work operations that meet safety, quality, and efficiency requirements with high integrity.
• Maintain accurate workstation layouts using AutoCAD and conduct time studies through motion analysis.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts to evaluate bottlenecks and improve throughput and productivity.
• Support change management projects by developing line balance plans and participating in production trials.
• Coach and teach production floor personnel on lean manufacturing principles and GM’s Global Manufacturing System.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1+ year of experience in Industrial Engineering, Continuous Improvement (CI), or Manufacturing.
• Ability to work and rotate through all 3 shifts (1st, 2nd, & 3rd).
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Experience in documenting standardized work procedures and implementing lean manufacturing concepts.
• Must not require immigration sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in launch operations.
• Knowledge of human factors engineering and ergonomic analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Line Designer.
• Strong project and time management skills.
