Salary: $160,000–$220,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership and engineering oversight for accelerator systems and program execution.
• Serve as the primary interface between technical teams to ensure knowledge transfer and mission alignment.
• Mentor engineers and operations personnel while fostering a culture of technical excellence.
• Lead technical reviews, design discussions, risk assessments, and operational planning.
• Support configuration management, system testing, commissioning, and startup activities.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and maintain performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible engineering experience in complex technical, scientific, defense, or nuclear systems.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and large-scale technical programs.
• Experience with project planning, scheduling, and resource management.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in Mechanical or Systems Engineering.
• Experience with accelerator systems, pulsed power, or high-voltage systems.
• Knowledge of Conduct of Engineering, Configuration Management, and Quality Assurance principles.
• Professional certifications such as PE or PMP.
