What you will do

• Serve as the technical design authority and systems subject matter expert for spacecraft and flight hardware.
• Establish vehicle performance requirements, architecture, and configurations.
• Facilitate collaboration across software, hardware, supply chain, and integration teams.
• Own technical reviews and ensure robust, consistent technical processes.
• Manage technical risk, system modeling, simulations, and trade studies.
• Collaborate with business development as a technical resource for capture pursuits.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
• 12+ years of spacecraft design or systems engineering experience, including 5+ years in technical leadership.
• Thorough understanding of the full design lifecycle, including V&V, ICDs, and CONOPS.
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport across global teams and cultures.
• Must be willing to travel internationally for vendor and customer site visits.
• Ability to pass a background investigation.

Nice to have

• Master's or PhD in Engineering.
• Previous experience as a Chief Engineer on a space program.
• Experience with government or military programs.
• Proficiency in Solidworks, Femap, NASTRAN, Confluence, and JIRA.
