Electrical Engineer (Industrial Power Distribution)

TL;DR

Electrical Engineer (Industrial Power Distribution): Designing and implementing power distribution systems for industrial manufacturing clients with an accent on Code compliance, personnel safety, and integrated design packages. Focus on designing low-voltage and medium-voltage systems, performing load studies, and specifying power distribution equipment.

Location: Hybrid; Must be based in or able to commute to Cincinnati, Ohio or Cedar Rapids, Iowa (minimum 3 days per week in office).

What you will do

• Execute electrical engineering design for single- and multi-discipline projects, ensuring compliance with codes and standards.
• Independently design low-voltage (600V and below) industrial power distribution systems.
• Assist in the design and incorporation of medium-voltage (MV) power distribution equipment.
• Perform short circuit, arc flash, coordination, and load studies.
• Specify and design modifications for Motor Control Centers (MCCs), including single-lines and layout elevations.
• Design cable tray and conduit systems and specify low-voltage distribution equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of electrical design experience.
• Proven experience with load studies and industrial power distribution.
• Proficiency with EasyPower and/or SKM software.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit software.
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
