TL;DR

HR Operations Lead (HR Operations): Providing advisory and operational support for HR operations across EMEA with an accent on regulatory compliance, payroll, and employee lifecycle management. Focus on designing scalable standard operating procedures and managing multi-country employment compliance in the UK and Spain.

Location: Must be based in the UK or Spain (Remote or Hybrid in London/Barcelona)

Salary: £48,000 - £80,000 GBP

What you will do

  • Provide guidance on health and safety policies, benefits, leave administration, payroll, and immigration workflows.
  • Manage the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, terminations, and employment agreements.
  • Design and update scalable standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure regulatory compliance across Europe.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Payroll, Legal, and People teams to maintain scalable processes.
  • Provide operational leadership and mentorship to the team to solve complex HR issues.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive HR operations experience.
  • Deep technical knowledge of HR compliance and operations in EMEA, specifically within the UK and Spain.
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and improve scalable HR processes and SOPs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an audit-oriented mindset.
  • Must be based in the UK or Spain.

Nice to have

  • CIPD, PHR, SHRM-CP or equivalent European HR certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
