What you will do

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for battery cells (pouch, cylindrical, prismatic) and pack-level components, including structural, thermal, and electromechanical subassemblies.
• Lead RFX, cost modeling, and supplier negotiations across global regions; make supplier footprint decisions based on cost, capacity, and geopolitical risk.
• Own should-cost models for cells and packs and drive cost down through design collaboration and process optimization.
• Support NPI from early design through mass production by managing prototype, pilot, and production suppliers and validating performance.
• Own supplier performance across quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness; lead dual-sourcing and risk mitigation for long-lead components.
• Act as supply chain owner for battery cell and pack systems and communicate sourcing tradeoffs to technical and executive stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
• Experience with batteries at both pack level and cell level (pouch, cylindrical, prismatic).
• 5+ years of experience in supply chain development or sourcing management.
• Strong understanding of NPI support and scaling production in hardware-focused companies through mass production.
• Ability to travel internationally and domestically approximately 25% of the time.
• Strong relationship-building skills with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
