What you will do

• Design and maintain robust ETL/ELT processes for modern Data Lake architectures.
• Develop distributed data processing workflows using Python and PySpark.
• Optimize SQL queries and migrate legacy RDBMS workloads to cloud-native environments.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to manage data resources using Infrastructure as Code.
• Ensure data integrity, compliance, and observability across all pipelines.
• Partner with data scientists and analysts to deliver scalable technical solutions.

Requirements

• Advanced/Fluent English proficiency required.
• Must be based in Colombia.
• Strong proficiency in Python and PySpark for distributed data processing.
• Deep expertise in SQL, including complex queries and window functions.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Glue, Athena, and Redshift.
• Solid understanding of Data Lake architectures and partitioning strategies.

Nice to have

• Experience with Delta Lake or Apache Iceberg.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools like CloudFormation, CDK, or Terraform.
• Familiarity with AWS SageMaker AI and machine learning workflows.
• Experience with TypeScript and Pandas.
