Software Architect (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in Raleigh, the Research Triangle, Durham, or surrounding areas; exceptional candidates elsewhere in the United States may be considered.

What you will do

• Own technical solutions end to end, from discovery and architecture through implementation and delivery.
• Design and build API-led, event-driven, and composable integrations across enterprise systems, including MuleSoft, Salesforce, and AI tooling.
• Direct, review, debug, and harden AI-generated code and agent workflows.
• Translate ambiguous client problems into clear technical solutions through direct client-facing discovery.
• Set technical direction for engagements and improve engineering practices as tools and methods evolve.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering foundation with attention to performance, reusability, and sound engineering practices.
• Recent, hands-on experience with enterprise integration, including API-led, event-driven, and composable approaches.
• Hands-on use of AI and agents for generating, refactoring, and debugging code, with the ability to review and secure their output.
• Security experience covering OWASP Top 10, authentication and authorization, dependency management, secrets, network segmentation, encryption, least-privilege IAM, and AI data security.
• Hands-on AWS or Azure experience with compute or serverless services, storage, IAM, and infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep.
• Hybrid availability in the Raleigh, Research Triangle, Durham, or surrounding area is strongly preferred; candidates elsewhere must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• MuleSoft experience with Anypoint, DataWeave, CloudHub, or Runtime Fabric.
• Salesforce experience across Sales, Service, Experience, CPQ/Revenue, or Financial Services Cloud.
• Experience in an AI-native or AI-accelerated delivery environment.
• Experience with Docker and ECS, AKS, or Kubernetes.
