What you will do
- Lead the design and architecture of scalable, resilient, and secure infrastructure environments.
- Oversee infrastructure planning, deployment, maintenance, and optimization across cloud and hybrid environments.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability for data, analytics, and machine learning workloads.
- Define infrastructure standards, best practices, and architectural patterns while ensuring security, governance, and regulatory compliance.
- Support DevSecOps practices, including automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code.
- Collaborate with data, application, and security leads; troubleshoot complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and mentor engineering teams.
Requirements
- Senior infrastructure engineering or architecture experience, Level III or equivalent.
- Strong expertise with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and/or hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Experience designing and supporting infrastructure for data platforms, analytics, or machine learning workloads.
- Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Strong understanding of networking, security, compute, storage architectures, system monitoring, logging, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
Nice to have
- Experience with big data platforms such as Databricks, Hadoop, or Spark.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with security frameworks and compliance standards in regulated environments.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or similar certification.
- Experience in federal or mission-driven environments.
