Location: Mountain View, California. Hybrid: in office at least 3 days per week

Salary: $150,000 - $217,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop next-generation hirify.global Driver Modules integrating in-house computers and ECUs.
• Own individual module design and integration into vehicle architecture from concept through production.
• Drive robust, manufacturable designs for compute hardware deployed in safety-critical environments.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with EE, layout, CAE, Reliability, and NPI teams.
• Sustain and support products currently driving autonomously on roads.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering and 4+ years of industry experience.
• Proficiency in CAD design and 2D drawings using GD&T (Catia 3DX preferred).
• Experience creating mechanical parts that interface with electrical components (PCBAs, sensors).
• Exposure to high-volume manufacturing processes like injection molding, diecasting, and stamping.
• Experience designing for harsh environments including shock, vibration, and temperature cycling.
• Ability to perform complex tolerance analysis using Worst Case and RSS.

Nice to have

• Experience with automotive ECUs or high-performance compute systems.
• Background in autonomous vehicles, robotics, and automotive vehicle design.
• Experience with high power, high thermal density, and high-speed electronics.
